Then the bread and wine miraculously become the actual body and blood of Jesus. During the mass, they believe that Jesus is placed on the altar and re-sacrificed where they say “hoc est corpus meum” (Latin). They determined that Jesus needed to be re-sacrificed every time you sin – even after you have accepted Jesus and have been baptized. The man of sin (who is not an individual person) in the form of the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church system established a different doctrine. Hebrews 10:10 (RSV), “…we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” His blood atones for all sins (past and future) done because of Adam. The Bible teaches that Jesus’ one time sacrifice was all sufficient to pay for the sin of Adam. He was the true sacrifice, and he replaced the typical lambs. at the same time the lambs were to be slain. Our Lord was nailed to the cross in the morning and died “between the evenings” at 3:00 P.M. These sacrifices foreshadowed how Jesus died on the cross. Instructions for this is found in Numbers 28:1-8. Daniel 11:31, “And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate.” Jesus refers to this in Matthew 24:15-16, “When you see the abomination of desolation, spoken by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso reads, let him understand.
